Accessibility Statement

Long Business Services & Advisors LLC wants every visitor to be able to learn about our services and reach us, whatever device, browser or assistive technology they use.

Our commitment

We help business owners, non-profits and individuals with their books, reporting, planning and taxes. That work starts with being easy to reach, so we aim to make this website usable for people with visual, hearing, motor and cognitive disabilities, and we treat accessibility as an ongoing part of maintaining the site.

Conformance status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. This website is designed and built with the intention of conforming to WCAG 2.2 Level AA.

The site has not yet been audited by an independent third party, so we describe it as intended to conform rather than fully conformant. We review it as content changes.

What we’ve done

  • Text and interface colors are chosen to meet WCAG contrast ratios: at least 4.5:1 for body text and 3:1 for large text and controls.
  • Every page can be used with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline and a “Skip to main content” link.
  • Pages use real headings, landmarks and lists, so screen readers can navigate them by structure.
  • Form fields have visible labels, required fields are marked in text, and errors are explained in words and announced to assistive technology.
  • Buttons and links are at least 48 by 48 pixels where possible, and the layout reflows to a single column on small screens without sideways scrolling.
  • Photographs that carry meaning have text descriptions; decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
  • If your device is set to reduce motion, smooth scrolling and entrance animations are turned off. There is no autoplaying video or audio.

Compatibility

The site is built with standard HTML, CSS and JavaScript and is designed to work with current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari, on desktop and mobile, together with common screen readers and browser zoom up to 200%.

Known limitations

  • Booking a call opens Calendly, a third-party scheduling service. Its accessibility is managed by Calendly, not by us. If it doesn’t work for you, call us and we’ll book the time for you.
  • We are still reviewing the site with a wider range of assistive technologies. If you find something that gets in your way, please tell us.
